They developed the idea of a hamburger restaurant where customers are able to order via a 2 way speaker unit, which developed to California's first drive thru restaurant. In N Out burger is a family, non-franchised company. Harry left the business after he passed away in 1976, then Esther passed away in 2006. Snyders two sons, Rich and Guy, began working with the company at an earky age.
